How to maintain my Reusable Hand Warmers?

Do you love your Hot Poc and want to keep them in perfect condition for the next cold season? It is important to take care. To help you take care of them, here are some tips to allow you to maintain them for years.

1. Boil your Hot Poc Safely

When boiling your Hot Pocs, make sure the water is boiling before adding them into the water. The moment bubbles appear at the bottom of the cauldron, your Hot Pocs are ready to reset. We recommend using the Hot Poc Boil Bag to prevent them from being damaged. If you don’t have a boiling bag, it’s no problem to put them directly in the cauldron. However, check that the bubbles rise to the surface and stir occasionally.

There isn’t necessarily a maximum Hot Poc you can put in a pan, but make sure they don’t stick to each other or to the bottom of the cauldron. After 5 minutes, remove them with tongs or a wooden spoon, but avoid any sharp or puncturable utensils.

2. Transport your Hot Poc efficiently and safely

During transport, it’s important to use the metal case supplied with your Hot Poc or another small protective container. This not only protects them on the go, but also prevents them from accidentally going off.

3. Avoid long exposure to cold

Whenever possible, avoid leaving your Hot Poc exposed to the cold for long periods of time. Although these hand warmers are designed for your outdoor activities, if they remain exposed to cold temperatures for several days and weeks, their performance could suffer. For example, leaving your Hot Poc in the glove compartment of your car in cold temperatures for several days will reduce its long-term performance.

4. Proper summer storage

Winter is coming to an end and the temperature is rising, it’s time to put away your Hot Poc for the next season. Be sure to store them in a liquid state in their original metal case or other hard case. Avoid putting your Hot Poc in a place where they are constantly exposed to direct sunlight or significant temperature differences. By storing them somewhere at room temperature, you can preserve their life and performance for next season.

By following these simple tips, you can extend the life and performance of your Hot Pocs and continue to enjoy warm hands for many years to come!
