Salary: 100 000 $ + Commission and bonus

A little about the business:

Hot Poc is a growing startup in the outdoor and healthcare industries. We want to change consumer behavior globally by bringing the best reusable hand warmer to market. We are looking for an experienced and motivated director of sales to accelerate our growth trajectory and drive our ambitious goals.

Position Overview:

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading coast to coast sales efforts across Canada. This individual is responsible for achieving quarterly/annual sales goals, developing distribution channels, building strategic business relationships and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution.

What You Do:

  • Drive the Canadian ‘go to market’ retail corporate strategies through analytics & insights
  • Forecasting, management & ownership of the Canadian Retail P&L
  • Work closely with distributor & sales independent sales representative to ensure sales & distribution objectives are met
  • Explore and generate new business through alternative distribution channels
  • Build and execute robust trade marketing plan to match company growth objectives with the help of the different distributors 
  • Monthly reporting and analysis on Sales
  • Work with CEO, analyze product portfolio and recommendations for improvements to drive growth
  • Responsible for actively participating in monthly, quarterly & yearly performance meetings & ensuring that goals are 100% logged on time, updated, tracked & evaluated.
  • Lead weekly/monthly sales meetings with assigned accounts in order to fill gaps, adjust strategy when necessary and keep track of sales to attain objectives and growth
  • Participate to trade shows
  • Participate in the development of the growth plan 
  • Preparing the company for growth in the United States

What is Required to Do Your Job:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales and managing a sales team 
  • 5+ years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Direct account management experience with major retailers in Canada
  • Experience analyzing sales reports and converting them into actionable insights
  • High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Verbal and written communication skills in French and in English
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a high performing team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: Mindset oriented towards growth, creativity and agile decision-making
  • Result oriented
  • Coachable
  • Working knowledge of excel 
  • Working knowledge of Zoho CRM (an asset)
  • University Degree in Business, Communication or related focus (an asset)
